We've been playing Welsh singer Al Lewis for a while now here at Amazing Radio, both his solo material and his work featuring  Sarah Howells of Paper Aeroplanes too.

This latest project again features a female singer along with Al's own voice, this time in the form of  Mississippi born Alva Leigh.  Although they're both now based in London, Al and Alva met through a mutual connection from Nashville, where they'd both recorded solo material and where Alva lived before moving to the UK.

Having realised that they shared a love for the music of Whiskeytown, Gram & Emmylou and Jackson Browne the pair started to write together, and Lewis & Leigh was born early in 2014.

With a slightly more country edge than previous music we've had from Al, Lewis & Leigh are a perfect fit for The Front Porch and we've been asking them to come and record a session for us ever since they uploaded What Is There To Do to amazingtunes.com in August.

Last week they did just that and they recorded us a couple of great stripped back songs, stopping around for a chat in between their performances.  You can hear both of those tracks and the interview in the player above.
