ARAHAT is a solo project that started to get serious in the fall of 2007. The band has only one member at this time - Thomas Henriksson - but plans exist about expanding the band in the future. Thomas has played in some bands earlier in Sweden, but decided to go his own way in 2007. Reasons for this was that he wanted more control over the creative process and the sort of music that was coming out of it, but also for practical reasons - he tries to find time for the music between a fulltime job and a university course in sociology. ARAHAT has four finished songs, but more are on the way. Black Magic is a form of progressive ambient metal that fuses hiphop beats, rythmic riffs and synths. The lyrics are kind of dark but there is light there as well. Right now frantic work is being done to get the new ARAHAT.org website up.
