Released: 21 June 2019
“Adam French is a craftsman… he turns experience into gold” – CLASH MAGAZINE
“Blends real-world emotion and grit with a strikingly beautiful aesthetic” – FAULT
Following the release of his debut album “The Back Foot and The Rapture” in March, UK singer/songwriter Adam French returns with the first taste of new music with the gorgeous “Slow Dancing” – a stunning insight into the next chapter from the Congleton-born artist who creates all his own artwork, including photographing and designing the cover to this track himself.
Co-written with Jonathan Quarmby (Tom Walker, Lewis Capaldi), “Slow Dancing” is a delicate, stripped-back gem. Breaking into a rousing chorus, it’s an effervescent wave that belies the fraught and thoughtful lyricism that Adam has made his calling card. Speaking on the track, Adam states:
“‘Slow dancing’ is a song about resetting the clock, re-starting a relationship and giving each other the chance to care again. Forgiveness and understanding with a hint of self-destruction.”
With critical acclaim coming from across the spectrum – from the likes of Dua Lipa and Tony Hawk to WONDERLAND, 1883 MAGAZINE and CLASH Magazine, Adam has also picked up support from the likes of BBC Introducing and Communion Live (Catfish and the Bottlemen, Michael Kiwanuka, Ben Howard).
With a debut European headline tour and London performance at OSLO under his belt, Adam’s new release looks set to further cement his continuing emergence into public consciousness as a surefire one to watch - get ready to hear a lot more from the rising star in 2019.
