TUNE SHEL - You Could Be My Baby
“I have never come across such talented siblings that play and work together as one cohesive unit. SHEL are all exceptionally gifted musicians, singers and outstanding individuals. They blow my mind with their creativity. They are the best example of DIY I’ve ever come across with their songwriting, sound production, homemade videos and original costume designs.” – Dave Stewart
"Ever wonder what would happen if you took the Dixie Chicks' tight harmonies…then added them to Taylor Swift times four? SHEL!" - MTV Buzzworthy
SHEL are a Nashville-based all-sister quartet who release their debut UK single You Could Be My Baby, produced by Eurythmics co-founder and latter-day writer and producer to the stars Dave Stewart, the first release in a new label partnership between his company Dave Stewart Entertainment and Membran. Raised in an abandoned trailer park that their parents restored and turned in a farm, the Holbrook sisters had an unconventional and imaginative upbringing at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. From an early age they were fascinated equally by The Beatles and the Marx Brothers, while all four shared a common dream to form a synergetic group from their contrasting personalities. The sisters have spent the last two years touring the US in their sprinter van, playing festivals such as SXSW and CMJ, having their songs featured in several US films, TV shows and adverts and have had their music featured and supported by the likes of USA Today, MTV Buzzworthy, CMT, Huffington Post and more. SHEL will be in London in July as ‘Artist In Residence’ at The Hospital Club where they will perform several showcases and workshops on their unique creative process for invited guests (w/c 6th July). The trip will conclude with an intimate show at St Pancras Old Church on 13th July.
