Bakers Eddy formed in 2009, during their first year of high school when 3 slacker mates decided they wanted something to do other than skate.
Two years later twin Brother and guitarist Alex Spagnolo joined after the band "got sick of him playing PS3 in the same room while we rehearsed”, “so we taught him an A chord then he was in".
For the next 2 years they would go through a few band names, a few first relationships and experiment with different genres and substances.
In 2015 the band recorded and released two singles, an E.P and toured NZ constantly.
Over the next two years they supported bands such as Gang of Youths, The Rubens and US band Highly Suspect as well as playing “Rock the Park” in Auckland and “Homegrown” in Wellington all whilst avoiding going to uni or getting real jobs.
By the end of 2016 they decided to throw themselves well out of their comfort zone and move to Melbourne where they hooked up with producer and drummer of Shihad -Tom Larkin.
