BANG BANG ROMEO bring their unique brand of dark, emotive, 60’s inspired rock ‘n’ roll back to Yorkshire this summer after winning widespread critical acclaim from performance’s at such prestigious events as Isle Of Wight Festival and Dot To Dot seeing the band labelled as “Completely Mind Blowing” (Louder Than War) and being singled out as festival highlights alongside the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Blur (The Mirror).
Debut Single Johannesburg saw BBR collect airplay from BBC Radio 1, with Huw Stephens labelling them “Like a Tarantino Soundtrack”. The Single went on to be play-listed by Radio X with Jo Good saying it has a "Huge sound, like a hard edged Fleetwood Mac". Johannesburg continued to draw comparisons to the likes of The Doors, Talking Heads and “Bringing Fleetwood Mac esque sass” in the NME, and was also praised a “Rousing Soulful Gem” by Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6).
With imminent follow up single Invitation a snarling and fiery statement of intent, the band arrive on the Tramlines Mainstage this summer ready to deliver another powerful performance worthy of their ever growing reputation that proceeds them as a “must see” live act, with legendary Rolling Stones producer Chris Kimsey describing the band as “Epic, a bond theme in the making. Holy Preaching Nectar!”
