Kim Kelley is a Texas-born velvety folksinger, songwriter, and performer with a progressive flair. Her original songwriting, musical scores, and the poetry of her lyrics capture the essence of the human spirit and will touch your heart. Kim’s rich, country-influenced folksy vocal style is reminiscent of a head-on collision between the old and the new. Kim currently lives in Bend, Oregon, and performs in the Pacific Northwest.
Kim Kelley’s debut album, “Bending Blue”, was released in May 2009. With the first beat, this album slides right into a personal collection of heartfelt songs. Bending Blue delivers a poignant melancholy poetry of lyrics blended with her original prairie folk melodies. One can sense the influence of Kim’s musical roots growing up surrounded by gritty Texas ballads. Kim will be releasing her second CD, Bloodline in November of 2009. Bloodline is a collaboration of southern folk songs written and performed with her brother, Beau Burt.
