Chris Floyd is a singer and songwriter, born and bred in rural Tennessee, not far from Nashville. Raised by a Baptist songleader, steeped in the grain and cadence of old country music, schooled in blues, rock and soul by hipster brothers in the Sixties, set on fire by Russian literature and crazed by love, he's moved and sojourned around the world, from the haunted swamps of Mississippi to the roiling turmoil of post-Soviet Moscow to the ancient stony alleyways of Oxford, and several points in between. He's recorded one album, Wheel of Heaven, in collaboration with Nick Kulukundis. He is lead singer and songwriter for the Holy Fools, an Oxford-based Americana band.
