Chris Glen is a captivating, 25 year old Songwriter from Aberdeen in the North-East of Scotland. His style is dramatic, dynamic and intense. Influenced by the rich song-writing legacies of Ray Lamontagne, Tori Amos, Jeff Buckley, his time in Berlin and almost 10 years of writing and performing live, Chris has developed a style of poetic lyricism, soaring vocal melody and innovative guitar technique. Chris has toured Scotland, Germany and recently returned from performing at Bricolage Theatre in Pittsburgh, United States.
The track “In Willows” that he co-wrote and performed on, recorded with Dean Rosenzweig(ex IAMX), was featured on the sampler of February 2012's edition of Zillo Magazine.
At this point in time, Chris is in the studio in Berlin with musician/producer and fellow Scot, Jamie Ross (www.jamieross.de), working on a full band album to follow the release of his debut EP, “Pointing Fingers of Glass”(http://chrisglen.amazingtunes.com/) The album is scheduled for completion in by the end of Summer 2012.
You can find Chris playing select shows in Berlin with Jamie Ross on violin and vocals. Full band dates will be announced soon.
