"Cobble makes music that’s as eclectic as his upbringing. New single ‘Hold’, featuring a debut for Norwegian songstress Bēmbi, is the second in a series of tracks which swing from warming synths to staccato vocal samples to future-facing hip-hop covering all bases between, creating what he describes himself as “Martian Hip-Hop”.
The name Cobble is a reference to the nature of the universe, and how tiny pieces come together to form complex matter. It’s a concept all too familiar to the 25 year-old Portsmouth born, Singapore raised, part-Persian Saam Jafarzadeh. Now residing in Liverpool, he’s been making music since he was 17, switching from a previously chosen career path of sound engineering.
As well as producing for his own artist project, Saam is a prolific producer and musician - being a member of a the indie hip-hop band Oya Paya - a cross UK / Singapore project signed to the latter’s Umami Records. Additionally, he’s the producer behind the highly successful Liverpool based duo Her’s, who have been racking up millions of streams since their debut release in 2016.
He is humble about his influences, including the likes of Galimatias, Chrome Sparks, Sam Gellaitry, iamamiwhoami and Vangelis among his favourites. With a sound that’s impossible to label, it’s clear that Cobble is an artist and producer operating very much in his own lane. "
