Coracle is a solo project by producer Jonathan Doherty. He is originally from Lancashire in the UK, and studied at Leeds College of Music, but is now living near Tokyo in Japan. He writes keys driven music with a jazz influence in a range of electronic, deep house and chillout styles.
Since 2014, Coracle has received support from various BBC radio stations in the UK through BBC Introducing, including Tom Robinson on BBC6. Coracle’s first single Come Alive was a Record of the Week on Amazing Radio. Coracle's recent track To the Deep was featured on major music blogs such as Earmilk and Indie Shuffle and was briefly in the iTunes Top 200 dance charts in Norway. Coracle has released songs on a range of independent labels including So French Records, Deeplife Records, Tropical Velvet and Dualism Records. Doherty has performed as a pianist and keys player in various original and function bands at major events and festivals across the UK and is now working in Japan.
