We have finally got our collective acts together and decided to throw ourselves a party to celebrate!
Summer has wound down to a watery conclusion and now we have a season of crisp mornings and early nights to look forward to. Our original plan was to have a Day of the Dead party, but we've moved it slightly further into November as we very much wanted to play with these three amazing bands;
First, CODIST, a super-popular Glasgow band that embody a 90's college rock attitude with melodic and energetic tunes. They are exciting and fun, and you're going to love them.
Next, GIFT HORSE, a duo with David Maxwell on big drums and Audrey Bizouerne on dirty guitar with a sprinkle of psych glitter!
Third, LENZIE MOSS, AKA Finlay Macdonald, who has played with BMX Bandits and Teenage Fanclub, and is here in his solo incarnation with loops and things.
Lastly, and leastly, yr humble CALACAS, who often find ourselves described as "double jaguar with drums and bass". You'll want to come along just to see if we manage to play a few songs without setting ourselves on fire, or knocking over priceless Ming vases, which we have balanced here on this shaky stepladder.
We hope to see you there, because this is going to be a great night, it's a Friday, and we only want a fiver in return!

Toffees - www.facebook.com/toffeesofficial
Toffees are a British rock band formed in Milton Keynes in 2015. Since forming they have toured extensively in the UK building up momentum and success. They have been compared to such acts as Royal Blood, Kasabian, Jack White and Noel Gallagher with strong roots in rock and R&B.
Most recently Piers Nolan (lead singer/guitarist) has been working with Daniel Green (Coldplay producer). The effects of this can be best heard on such tracks as 'NOT GONNA STOP' and 'WELL 'OH' WELL' which clearly show the beginning of an evolution within the band.
Last year they played a variety of venues and festivals all over the Uk including Brixton Jam (Tramploene headlining), Camden Rocks festival, Victorious festival, and a number of Charity Fests! This in part is due to their sponsorship by Clic Sargent Charity, whose events they have been involved with since 2015.
The Silver Bayonets - www.facebook.com/TheSilverBayonets
Straight out of the recording studio come Londoners “The Silver Bayonets”. The 3 piece will be using the show here at Crowndale to showcase tracks from their brand new album due for release Spring 2018.
Their 2015 debut “The Pain Inside Your Head” saw reviewers make comparisons with such bands as The Wildhearts, Manic Street Preachers, and Mega City Four…no bad thing!
Expect a set full of energy fuelled, loud, melodic, addictive guitar driven power pop.
