Glass Caves had a 2015 that saw them start from busking in cities across the UK to selling out most of their debut album tour, with self-funded album ‘Alive’ making the Record Store Top 40 on week of release.
The debut album saw the band playing live on Radio 2 for Dermot O'Leary, at Isle of Wight Festival and on a national 'This Feeling' tour and supports with Augustines and a headline at Club NME to a packed out Koko in London.
New single 'Alive' (named after the debut album but not featuring on it) is an epic and euphoric ode to living in the moment written whilst on tour in Edinburgh. Singer Matt Hallas explains the themes of the song as "The realisation of knowing you are living a part of your life you will remember forever. A shout of being alive."
A relentless touring band with a passionate following that track the band from venue to venue across the UK, Glass Caves have stepped up an already ambitious sound into grander proportions with single 'Alive' being the standard bearer of the new material for their second album.
"Glass Caves quickly became a word of mouth phenomenon. Each song seemed to be carefully honed, with the band’s craftman-ship allowing them to gradually sand down rough edges, refining their voice on their travels.”
“Whatever the parallels to come, here lies a band on the brink of bigger things. Quite simply, this track is nostalgia for the modern age. Believe the hype.”

“This classic, nostalgic sound is energizing and exciting with heavy guitar riffs and a wonderfully northern vocal.”
