A series of random meetings, old friendships and new acquaintances helped Red Light Effect form in late 2014. Through the following year writing, recording and sporadic shows gave the band the foundations to establish themselves within their hometown.
Their debut release, "Phosphorus", recorded with Sugar House Records garnered attention from John Kennedy at Radio X who tipped them as ‘Ones to Watch’ and gave the band their first national airplay. The release was followed by sold out shows in and around Manchester and the support of local legend Clint Boon featuring them on his own radio shows and podcasts.
The band have since been creating a solid following and worked with Charlatans and New Order producer Jim Spencer in 2017/18. The sessions gave us "Empress’" with it’s "epic" intro and “massive” sound attracted the interest from the United States. Amazon US featured the band on the cover of their November 2018 "Introducing Alternative" playlist and Boston’s Indie617 station gave them single of the month.
When people see this band it becomes a love affair...... as Dale, the lead singer, said to a packed venue, “Without you, there’s no us......”
