TUNE Mystic Peach - Across The Pond
Hailing from the not-so-sunny South Coast, enter 3-piece psych-boppers, Mystic Peach with second single ‘Across The Pond’.
Recorded & produced by George Murphy (The Big Moon, HMLTD, Yowl, Hotel Lux, Public Access TV) at Eastcote Studios, ‘Across The Pond’ captures an anger and a charm in frontman Curtis Gale. It is a tale of irony, sarcasm and anger in the lavishing of opinions, whether political or sociological, and the expectancy to follow. A rifling chorus twined with a charmful melody and a shout of “put me in the queue right behind you” reflect Gale’s fight in conformation.
Joe Ingram’s bass line represents the groove of Mystic Peach’s musical ideology from the off, while Jimi Allen’s drum fills work like a powerhouse in unison with Ingram’s unquestionably captivating bass line.
“one part Syd Barrett and one part the Stooges, a confrontation but often beautiful sound.” – Clash Magazine
