TUNE Fwar - Nomad
Leeds artist Fwar today announces his new single Nomad. Following on from previous single Western Youth, his new track strikes a contemplative tone with the same egregious pop swagger. Eastern soundscapes make way for gushing synths as Fwar laments modern life across an instant chorus.
Cutting his teeth as a member of Brolin’s live band, Fwar (real name Nathan Moseley) released his debut EP last year winning praise and plays from the likes of Radio1, BBC 6Music, and Radio X.
New EP The Absurd, out December 15th, is an intriguing side step from his previous material, blending tuned percussion and manipulated homemade samples into striking synth fuelled pop joy. The Absurd’s title is in reference to a term used in existentialist philosophy to describe the human tendency to seek inherent meaning and ones inability to do so.
Speaking about Nomad Nathan said, “It’s really a celebration of endless possibilities in the digital age; the opportunities we have to start, end and learn new things. As my school teacher once profoundly declared when speaking of my destiny, ‘It can be changed with just the click of a mouse.’”
The Absurd is out 15th December 2017 on Kissability (Circa Waves, THUMPERS, Para Alta).
