Emerging from the West Midlands, The Space's modern and versatile approach to indie rock music sees them mixing it's flowing riffs and catchy vocals with elements of rap and story like lyrics portraying a message. Telling their perceptions of the world and what happens within it through their driven indie rock feel creates a unique style they have been developing since 2017.
They actively gig across the West Midlands and have already played stand out gigs in venues such as: The Castle and Falcon, o2 Institute and o2 Academy Islington where they took a coach load of fans down to London and supported the band Duchess.
In June 2018 they released their debut single “False Reality”, it gained lots of attention around their local area for it’s unique, atmospheric feel and clever blend of genres. After multiple radio plays from stations such as Union Jack and BBC Introducing Hereford and Worcester The Space created a name for themselves quickly around their native town Kidderminster and across Worcestershire and Birmingham. After a break from recording to develop their live sound and promote themselves across the area they are now in the studio again with new singles in the works. 2019 promises much more released music and a bright future for the young indie rockers.
They are influenced by a wide array of music from heavy to mellow indie rock, classic/popular rock and some of their songs take influence from some alternate genres like rap. Their debut single was compared to the likes of "Radiohead but with rap".
