Hailed by New Zealand's National Radio as the pioneer of a new sound, Jordans music is bloodthirsty mix of Celtic rock, Grimms fairtale-eske text and the sounds of steam and iron.
Imagine Nine Inch Nails trapped in the workhouses of INdustrial Revolution era London, with PJ Harvey for company.
Jordan has had three Tui Award nominations (New Zealand "Grammy"s) in her home country as well as several commissions by the New Zealand Arts Council. Jordan's voice has featured on Zane Lowes band "Breaks Co-op", and Cafe Del Mar, and her soundtrack involvements include Peter Jacksons "Lord of the Rings" and "Shortland Street". Her live shows are a mix of acoustic loops, machine sounds andwild celtic vocals and include shows at Glastonbury (UK), the Big Day Out (Australia / NZ), The New Zealand Festival of the Arts, and the New Zealand Annual Gothic Ball, the Frankfurt Music Messe (Germany) and the Brighton Fringe Festival. She is touring the UK in October this year for the release of her 6th album, "Children of a Factory Nation" pre-orders here: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/preorder/children-of-a-factory-nation/id468248648
