Biography

Less Than Sober are a Rock/ Punk / Pop band from Saltcoats . Formed in 2008 by Kris McDowall .
Founding member and frontman Kris (The Gok) McDowall writes all the songs and controls the stage with energetic performances every time! Capturing the crowd is not a problem for Kris since his passion shines through in every performance.
Drummer Gordy Turner is the machine of the band who's drumming skills are world class. As a well known Professional session player in Scotland he has been earning a living from drumming for over 20 years.Due to commitments with Gordy we have the unreal pleasure of having two outstanding drummers with John McLelland stepping up to the plate live and controlling the back line with his metronome quality flawless backing vocals and all round solidarity.
Lead guitarist Dave McLean is a vastly experienced player whose commitment and talent show with every minute. Mark Tait lays a layer of bass into the mix while Jonny Emerson completes the rhythm section, playing through every song with calm creativity in abundance.
The bands sound is completed by the harmonies provided by John, Jonny and Mark bringing these guys from 'A band' to 'The band' " Melodic" Rock with a punk style creating a unique blend of music which is radio friendly . Not only do the band look good, their hard work show's in every performance .
