TUNE Listening Club - Hurts
"My song of the year." Mak, Humber Street Sesh Festival
Listening Club are back with their second single, Hurts.
Bonding over a shared love of classic songwriting and 80s guitar jangle, the band are already seasoned musicians. Between them they have played Glastonbury, featured on BBC 6Music, penned tunes for E4 Skins, recorded numerous sessions for BBC Introducing - and toured the UK extensively.
After their debut single, Skiffle Scuffle, gained national and international radio play, the band hit the festival circuit, recorded several BBC Sessions - and toured extensively.
Hurts is the second single in a trilogy produced by Neil Scott (Felt, Denim, Everything But The Girl) and engineered by Jon Spence (Happy Mondays) - both adding some 80s sparkle to the mix.
Band leader Rich, can’t wait for the release: “Hurts shows what we are about as a band: bringing out the light and shade of modern life in three minutes or less.”
