I’m a singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist specialising in 12 string guitar. I was born raised in London, now living near Southampton on the south coast of the UK.
My first memory of music was mixture of hymns and Stevie Wonder. My main instrument is a 12 string guitar that I have had since I was 18 years old.
“The shadow of Glen Tilbrook in post Squeeze mode hangs occasionally around the periphery and the more introspective moments remind me of Colin Vearncome...”
I strive to create songs with emotion and honesty and that tell stories from my life, from other people’s lives and some other stuff that I just make up!
“There is something wonderfully refreshing and direct about the songwriting and delivery of Nick Tann. I’m reviewing “Bought Online”, but could easily be reviewing the physical copy of the same album, “Bought At A Gig”. By and large this album is Nick Tann, his twelve string and a great selection of songs. At times it’s edgy stuff, bordering on raw, but, to use that most twee of phrases, it’s all real. This is an album that is honest about what it conveys and in many ways that is particularly true of the instrumental sections of the album, where the guitar really does get to lead” Fatea Magazine
"Sting had a conversation with Van Morrison about Jimi Page playing a 12-string guitar John Martyn laughed, laughed hard"
