Release Date: Out Now
Where From: Los Angeles
‘Nothing’s Wrong’ is taken from LA trio HAIM’s critically acclaimed UK #2 and US Top 10 second album Something To Tell You, out now on Polydor Records.
Speaking to Pitchfork about the track, which DIY hailed a “70s-inspired banger, decorated with stomping drums and twangy guitar hooks”, Alana revealed that it contains “My favourite guitar lick on the record.” Danielle added, “This song started out with that guitar lick. And it starts a narrative that [spans] some of the record, of dealing with coming back from tour and realizing something’s changed in a relationship: You’re sleeping back-to-back, maybe you don’t want to admit to yourself that something’s wrong.”
The release comes after the music video for ‘Little Of Your Love,’ the second single from Something To Tell You, which saw the sisters team up with acclaimed director Paul Thomas Anderson once again for a line dancing spectacular. The video was followed by the official release of their brilliant Shania Twain cover ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’, originally recorded for Triple J radio.
HAIM recently took Paris Fashion Week by storm, making appearances at all the shows, from Chanel to Valentino. Upon their return to the US they played a triumphant homecoming gig at the famed Greek Theater in Los Angeles, with the likes of Joaquin Phoenix, Carly Rae Jepsen, Troye Sivan and Ryan Adams all in attendance. Following the performance, Billboard wrote, “When you walk into a HAIM show, you're not entering a music venue. You're stepping into their living room just to watch three sisters have a blast.”
