'These Heights' EP Due for release 27th January 2014 on Greco Roman The New Year is here and with it Greco-Roman announce the full package for a release which tickled the tastemakers back in December when the first couple of tracks had their debut. The London-based collective will release ‘These Heights’ by rapidly rising Manchester DJ/producer TCTS aka Sam O’Neill on January 27th 2014 alongside remixes by from Kry Wolf, Detroit Swindle and of course, the label’s own Greco-Roman Soundsystem. With the release comes a video for the EP’s eponymous lead track ‘These Heights’, directed by Davis Silis of Bullion Productions who have previously delivered promos for the likes of Katy B, Disclosure, Connan Mockasin and Kindness. The video is a vivid, voyeuristic trip down the rabbit hole, as weird and colourful as the track itself which melds unique, irresistible vocals from 18 year-old BRIT School wunderkind Shivum Sharma with fizzing synth pulses and a persistent beat. TCTS first came to attention with his debut EP ‘Hands’ on the Cool Kid Music label, and following the success of that release Bondax snapped up his underground hit ‘1997’ for their fledgling imprint Just Us. The track soon landed on the BBC Radio 1 playlist with support from key protagonists including Huw Stephens, Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac, and led to Sam appearing at some of the major summer festivals last year including Glastonbury, Leeds and Secret Garden Party, alongside shows throughout the UK, Ibiza and across Europe. Across 4 exquisite tracks ‘These Heights’ showcases TCTS’ signature blend of a house aesthetic married with lush synth work and on point percussion, making it arguably his most important and arresting release to date.
