Possimiste is an artistic character, a mysterious girl with bat wings who documents her journeys in theatrical pop songs strongly influenced by New age and fairy tales.
At only 15 years of age the young Iceland based Estonian artist gave out her first self-produced single and was immediately discovered by Bad Panda Records net label that in 2011 released the second official digital single “Behind The Seas”. With the latter Possimiste won the hearts of many music bloggers, alternative pop (Émilie Simon, Björk,The Divine Comedy) lovers and many other musical and visual artists. The single itself has until today remained one of the most downloaded Creative Commons songs on the internet with more than 300 000 downloads.
After releasing her first EP/story-book “Wanderer” in 2013 the artist moved to Iceland to focus on writing her first album surrounded by silence and nature. At the same time Possimiste still kept releasing independent singles and since winning The UK Amazing Radio´s Alternative Eurovision in 2015 her songs have scored numerous award-winning films and advertisements including Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, Design Within Reach, Spell Designs to name just a few. She has also collaborated with numerous artists around the world including one of today´s most successful modern-classical composers Oskar Schuster and Barry Snaith (of The Strangeways,The Inconsistent Jukebox). Possimiste´s most recent works with the Slovakian producer Analogrunner were chosen among “The Best Songs of 2016” by Beehype Music Magazine and nominated in “Single of the year” category at Slovakia´s most renowned music awards “Radio Head Awards 2016”.
