TUNE AK/DK - Shared Particles
AK/DK release new single 'Shared Particles' via Little Miss Echo Recordings on 19th June, taken from forthcoming album 'Shared Particles' (due 28th August).
Brighton's double drum duo return with their raucous synths in hand for a third instalment of energy packed noise on their new LP 'Shared Particles’.
Their trademark pounding bass riffs take centre stage on this epic, cosmic exploration of the interstellar connections that ultimately bond us all together. Soaring synth arpeggios and delays wind around the post-punk core of this banger. Bringing the infectious energy of their renowned live shows, everyone is invited to their joyous, defiant and inclusive four-minute party.
“The song is really about an idea of unity and empathy; whatever our differences, we all came from the same cosmic-cocktail of particles millions of years ago, and how today despite our political and now physical separation, we all share that universal thing in common”.
Since their last release 'Patterns/Harmonics', AK/DK have been busy playing festivals around the UK and Europe, with triumphant sets at: Blue Dot, DeerShed, ArcTanGent and The Great Escape and a coveted secret show at End of the Road with a ridiculously exciting, live onstage collaboration with fellow noise makers Snapped Ankles. They also fitted in a tour of Brazil and Argentina collaborating with local artists, blending their chaotic synth sounds with indigenous rhythms and contributed to the critically acclaimed show 'Party Skills For The End of the World' at Manchester International Festival.
Live dates are planned throughout Autumn including Are You Listening? Festival, and a tour with post-rock stalwarts 65daysofstatic.
