TUNE PET CROW - What We Doin'?
Pet Crow self-release new single ‘What We Doin’?’ on 15th November, taken from their forthcoming album ‘Take The Edge Off’ (out 7th February 2020).
Derby based garage-pop post punkers Pet Crow explore the struggles of modern life on their second LP ‘Take The Edge Off’. This is another tricky second album, but not in the classic sense. It’s a work of catharsis, an expression of personal problems and mental health issues experienced throughout a turbulent time for the band. Anxiety, depression, drug addiction, OCD and ADHD are all tackled as they speak from direct experience.
‘What We Doin’?’ blasts forth, taking on stagnation and a lack of focus that can render one inactive. Their blend of tight, funky rhythms, punk riffage ad surf rock party vibes make for an enthralling listen that makes everything feel better. Pet Crow believe you can dance and sing your way through your problems and they want you to join them!
Pet Crow will play: Sept: If Not Now, When? Oxford (14th), Engine Rooms London (28th) Oct: Chameleon Nottingham (3rd), Yorkshire House Lancaster Music Festival (12th), Effra Social London (26th), Angel Nottingham (27th), Nov: JT Soar Nottingham (13th), Dubrek Derby (15th), The Moon Cardiff (21st), Café Kino Bristol (22nd), London (23rd), AATMA Manchester (28th), Sunburn Records Darwen (29th) Dec: Muthers Studio Birmingham (13th), Globe Newcastle (14th).
