From a young age Roman was driven by music and showmanship. His mother Brigitte Vinchon (a French singer/performer) was heavily involved in the gypsy circus world and was bringing Roman to the stage from as young as 7 days old. They did a lot of travelling around before eventually ending up back in England, living with Roman’s father Robin Scott (a former pop artist back in the late 80’s).
Living in a home surrounded by a family of performers & artists, Roman picked up a thirst for performance and musicianship. He started drumming at age 11, shortly before discovering the art of beatboxing. This became an infatuation as he began listening to and mimicking his favourite artists. It was with beatboxing that Roman progressed and later went on to support the likes of Chipmunk, Bashy and various other artists.
Roman has now honed his skills to find a sound which he calls his own. A mix of his talent with his beatboxer rhythm along with his synths, loops and vocals, he creates a fusion of sounds from all of his musical influences; A sound which he describes as 'HalfWay'. His first solo show came at The Hope at the very end of last year and saw him play to a capacity crowd. In the following week he was played on BBC Radio 6 Music and has the track they played called ‘Heart Of Hibiscus’ up as free download via his Music Glue page.
Having been busy in the studio Roman is back with fresh material which he released on July 27th and a tour to be announced very soon.
