'Noir pop, art deco pop from the hardcore sex store…
great big clever warm glowing pop songs to hang
all your hats on'. (Organ Magazine).
Singer-songwriter Yael Claire , also known as SPIRITWO,
hit the London stages early 2008, with her wild vocal range and kickass attitude, creating a new role model of a music performer.
SPIRITWO's Electro -Progressive tunes, infectiously
poppy and hauntingly dark, caught the attention
of Huw Stephens & Stuart Maconie (Radio 6)
and Resonance FM.
It didn't take long for SPIRITWO to make a big impact on the
East London arts scene with her compelling combination of banging electro,
art deco pop, dubstep and world music, having been invited to host
& perform at events such as Ladyfest 2010 and
Hackney Wicked Festival 2010 - 2011.
In addition, she has appeared at a plethora of cutting edge events across London
such as London Fashion Week 2008, immersive theatrical troupe
Punchdrunk's ‘Afters’ at Battersea Arts Centre and Andrew Logan's exhibition
and participated in the The Leader of the Starry Skies Tribute Album For Tim Smith
– Cardiacs’ Frontman, which included performances by The Magic Numbers,
Oceansize, Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) & Rose Kemp.
Her first full-length captures the underground, artistic vibes of the East End,
where she resides. This album is a gem, oozing wide musical diversity,
consisting of extreme highs and lows, east and west, marrying unique vocal abilities
with a seductive theatrical feel.
SPIRITWO will shake you with her exclusive blend of humour and fright,
making both your heart and feet jump!
