Some might say that there are better ideas than forming a rock’n’roll band, but if there are then SuziToy have yet to hear them. Because right here, right now, in these days of uncertainty and panic, the only thing to trust is instinct and shots from the hip. And right here, right now, there ain’t no one firing on target quite like SuziToy.
Formed in London in 2018 by Ko-Chun Lee [bass/vocals] and Marlon Woods [guitar/vocals] from the ashes of We Buy Gold, and former Flesh For Lulu drummer Bish Bishop, SuziToy find glamour in the dirt and beauty crawling through chaos. They are the lipstick smudges in the sodium haze. They are the soundtrack for those flickering moments when the night crawls in and the daylight fades. They are made for you.
Honing their craft via a series of incendiary live shows across an increasing number of devastated hometown venues, SuziToy’s rising fanbase has been swelled by feverish word of mouth and breathless enthusiasm. Capturing this level of excitement in the studio, SuziToy have bottled this lightning bolt in the shape of their self-produced new single, Gangs.
SuziToy are what you’ve been waiting for. And they’ve finally arrived.
