Hot from the success of his debut single ‘Kiss Full of Funk’ (22/01), Moscow based producer FREE.D is now ready to release his second single ‘Liberate Your Mind’ featuring London based hip hop artist ROUBS. FREE.D has garnered attention from the likes of Data Transmission, EDM.com as well as guest mixes with the prestigious Brick Lane Radio.
“Liberate Your Mind”s production is the perfect combination of a calm soulful backing track to compliment and emphasize the significance of its message “Wake up, wake up, we’ve lost our dreams and have been programmed. Liberate your mind”. Crashing the party and adding to the continental feel of ‘Liberate Your Mind’ we have remixes from Rhadow (Brasov, Romania) and Pazkal (Zurich, Switzerland). First up we have the internationally championed Rhadow, with over fifty releases on the likes of Cadenza Records, Get Physical and Sintope as well features with Delicieuse Musique and trndmusik. Rhadow adds his trademark rhythmic flow to the track with hip hop endorsed bass blended with a dancefloor ready beat. Next up is Pazkal, with appearances on Switzerland’s My Favourite Freaks podcast, releases and distribution with RodeoAudio, Universal, GF Recordings and Colludo as well as running his own label FreakBoutique delivering his astute brand of minimal, deep and tech sounds to the track.
FREE.D said of his inspiration with the songwriting process, “Liberate Your Mind” is a pure anthem for the humanity to wake up and stop feeding the egos with garbage and numbers. I believe that if the music has power to influence people’s mind then it’s a sin not to use it.”
FREE.D notes influences such as Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, Underworld and UNKLE and has spent the past few years mixing for private parties around Russia for clients such as the world renowned Breitling as well as performing as a speed mixer in Moscow’s vibrant street fest scene. Living and breathing a life filled with music has led FREE.D to the next natural step of his musical career, to establish his own record label, Hidden Vibes, where he can focus all of his energy on music production. With his "music has no limits" format FREE.D combines different genre fundamentals with live instrument sessions
