After Blaue Blume released their On New Years Eve at Soundcloud, the hype began. The track were well received by Danish and international media such as NME, Soundvenue, Regnsky and FAKE DIY. Blaue Blume already had their radio debut on BBC Radio (UK), Amazing Radio (UK), ByteFM (DE) and P3 (DK).
Blaue Blume played their first official concert at this year TRAILERPARK FESTIVAL in Copenhagen. Same month Blaue Blume played their first UK shows at Birthdays in London (Vice Magazine and Fake DIY) and at Dulcimer in Manchester (Tru Luv).
“There hasn't been a more outstanding debut track so far this year.”

“Meaning 'blue flower' in German - symbolic of desire and striving for the unreachable - Copenhagen's Blaue Blume were hardly going to deal in club bangers. Instead, debut 'On New Year's Eve' is a masterclass in fatalist, orchestral pop, punctuated by an elastic falsetto that would turn even Wild Beasts' Hayden Thorpe green with envy.”
“Pompous theatrical rock with trembling falsetto, simmering, deep black bass lines, reverb shimmering guitars and not least a big atmosphere. At least judging from the band's first single, 'On New Years Eve', where lead singer Jonas Smith's impressive, almost opera-like span of his voice rival like-minded colleagues as Hayden Thorpe from Wild Beasts and Antony Hegarty himself.”
